Today, Sogyo is a trans-disciplinary design studio in India, working with brands, educators and mission-driven organisations. We start by understanding what we're actually dealing with: the ambition, the audience, the context and the things a brief inevitably leaves out. Then we make. Carefully where care matters. Boldly where caution doesn't. The aim is work that makes sense now without being designed only for now.

The brief is a starting point. We look underneath it: at the context, the people and the problem that made the work necessary in the first place.

Collaborative

You know things we don’t. We know things you don’t. Good work happens somewhere in the exchange.

Ideas improve by meeting reality. So we make early, share often and let feedback become part of the work.

Intentional

Decoration isn’t the problem. Decoration without a reason is. Every decision should earn its place: strategically, functionally, culturally or visually.

Susindar

Sanjuktha moves between design, writing, art and culture, mostly because staying in one lane has never been particularly interesting. She began in film before finding her way into design, building a practice around the connections between things that don't always appear related at first. Outside the studio, she's usually dancing, writing, painting or becoming temporarily obsessed with something new.
