Chidambaram Academy of Performing Arts
Created for the Chidambaram Academy of Performing Arts, Samanvay was conceived as the identity for a new series of performances centred on collaboration, exchange, and the coming together of distinct artistic voices. The challenge was to create a visual language capable of representing not only the spirit of the series but also the Academy's rich cultural legacy.

Working in collaboration with Sharmada Vishwanath, Sogyo Studios drew inspiration from the personal world of Chitra Visweswaran. Artefacts collected through decades of travel, the architecture of her home, textiles, and recurring motifs were carefully distilled into a graphic language that balanced cultural richness with contemporary clarity. Rather than designing a standalone logo, the process focused on building a flexible identity system that could grow across multiple applications.

What began as an identity for an intimate event series soon became the visual foundation of the Academy's 50th anniversary celebrations in 2024. The system extended seamlessly across event communications, invitations, commemorative merchandise, environmental graphics, and print, creating a unified identity that celebrated five decades of artistic practice.
