Experimental Concept
The Chidambaram Academy of Performing Arts had created a space that had naturally evolved into a venue for rehearsals, performances, and creative gatherings. Rather than introducing a new visual language, the challenge was to establish an identity that reflected the character of the space itself while giving it a distinct presence as a destination for artistic exchange.
Sogyo Studios approached the identity by observing the architecture before drawing a single mark. The geometry, proportions, and materiality of the space informed the logo directly, allowing the venue's physical character to become the foundation of its visual identity. Restrained typography and an understated palette reinforced the quiet simplicity and openness that define the experience of the space.
The resulting identity positioned Terracotta Terrace as more than a venue. It became a recognisable home for intimate performances, rehearsals, and creative collaborations, extending the architecture into a cohesive visual language rooted in place.
